Naturalist says let pandas die

BBC naturalist Chris Packham says that giant pandas are only being saved because they are cute. He says they are a weak species and the money spent on saving them could be better spent on stronger species. As you can imagine this has caused quite a stir all over the world.

Although the panda is highly endangered, due to conservation efforts, the panda numbers are up about 40% since the 1970’s.
