Well, from the photo below, I’d have to say yes. This polar bear definitely has a headache or maybe even worse, a migraine! I feel for him because I get migraines and this is exactly what I look like when I have one. lol

Sloth Bear Facts: Sloth bears are a bit messy in appearance. They are stocky with long, shabby, black hair, with a white “Y,” “O,” or “U” marking on the chest. They have a long tongue, large lips, a pale muzzle (usually white) and well-developed hook-like claws that enable them to climb trees and dig for termites. They look fairly awkward when walking as they cannot pull their claws like a cat does.

Spectacled Bear Cubs Playing

I love to see photos of bear cubs playing. These photos of a couple of Spectacled Bears — Chaska and Bernardo at the National Zoo — have the typical whitish or cream “spectacles” ringing their eyes.

Spectacled Bears are also known as Andean and are South America’s only bears. Check these cute photos of Chaska and Bernardo…

The light color of the rings around the eyes extends down to the throat and chest in a variety of ways, giving each individual bear a unique set of markings. Their coats are thick and usually either black or brown, and rarely with a reddish tinge.

Kung Fu Bear – For Real

The video below shows an Asiatic Black Bear in a zoo in Japan doing what appears to be kung fu. And, by gosh, he is excellent. He’s been interested in sticks since he moved to the zoo and spends hours twirling sticks as if preparing for a fight using kung fu. Check it out…

I love photos of bears swimming or diving in water. You can tell they love water and just can’t get enough. Below are photos taken at the Brookfield Zoo of Hutson in the zoo’s new Great Bear Wilderness exhibit.

Do Polar Bears eat Eggs?

Yes. Polar Bears do eat eggs. In this time of shrinking sea ice, polar bears have been seen climbing cliffs to eat snow goose and murre eggs. Thus climate change is affecting species other than polar bears.

Sightings have shown polar bears staying for days in an area, wandering from nest to nest, eating all of the eggs of a snow goose colony. This eating of eggs is only part of the story. A hungry polar bear feeds on grass, berries, carrion, fish, rodents and birds.
