Is a Koala a bear – see great photos
When the English first saw koalas in Australia, they thought they looked like teddy bears so they added bear to their name. That name is still heard throughout the western world, but it is incorrect. Koalas are not bears.
Here are a couple of photos I got in my email this morning of koalas begging for water on a hot (120 degress) day in Australia. They are adorable!
They are cute enough to be bears, aren’t they?!
