Sloth bear aka Dancing Bear of India

Check out this cute picture of a Sloth Bear by ucumari called, “‘ol fuzzy ears”. Where they used to be found in forests all over India, they are now found in only a few habitats (see map below).

Sloth bears are used for the Dancing Bear trade. Wildlife SOS is working to end this centuries old tradition by 2010. They have saved 525 bears and estimate that there are about 100 bears left to rescue.
