I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. NWF’s Alaska Natural Resource Center suggested the Copper Whale Inn which is just down the street from their offices. It was absolutely lovely.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It had a nice gas fireplace which was wonderful to sit in front of after my long trip. The flames lulled me to sleep.
They also had a computer in the lobby for guests with access to the Internet and in the mornings they had a complementary continental breakfast. Glen, the manager, was very professional and friendly as was the other staff. When I go back — and I must! — I’ll stay there again.
Bear hugs, Frankie
