Sloth bears celebrate Mothers Day
Below is the cutest picture of a sloth bear mom with her 2 cubs riding her back. Sloth bears are the only bears whose cubs do this.
I’ve written before about sloth bears and their use in India in the Dancing Bear trade. They are tortured and beaten into submission and live their lives out at the end of 6 foot long ropes. Wildlife SOS rescues and rehabilitates these bears in sanctuaries in India.
