Off to Alaska to see live polar bears

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’m off to see live polar bears at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage this morning. It’s going to be a long day — up at 5:45 AM, on the road at 6:30 AM, then a 4 hour drive to Arcata/Eureka Airport (California). The plane leaves at noon, and I won’t arrive in Anchorage until 8 minutes after Midnight! UGH.

I’m psyched. I’ve been saving to see live polar bears for 2 years. I’ll be meeting David Booth (my partner in Cartoons.PolarBearNews.com) for the first time face-to-face at the zoo. We’ll be getting a private tour of not only polar bears but also the Kodiak brown bears and American black bears at the zoo. Of course, we’ll visit all of the animals there too. Oh boy, Lions, Tigers and Bears. OH MY!

Then it’s 3-days, 2-nights with a couple of people from National Wildlife Federation’s Alaska Natural Resource Center and some other supporters on a boat trip of Prince William Sound.

I’ll be blogging about my adventures and sharing pictures with you while I’m gone, so check in to see what’s happening or sign up to get the updates by email.

Here’s an image of where I’m heading.

Bear hugs, Frankie
