Giant pandas first check-up

September 6th, 2009 by frankie

The giant panda cub born at the San Diego Zoo last month just had his first check up. Yep, it is a little male and he is already a-dor-a-ble! Check him out below…

This photo was released by the San Diego Zoo and taken by AP. The little male cub was born on Aug 5 to Bai Yun who is the first surviving giant panda born in the United States. The cub will not be name until he is at least 100 days old, following Chinese tradition. The cub and mom, Bai Yun, will remain in the den for four to five months then he will be introduced to the public. I can’t wait. My friend and I are still planning to go see him.

Bear hugs, Frankie
